The sun streamed through the dusty window, illuminating the words penned in her father's elegant script. "Go hot air ballooning." She sighed, the sound barely audible. The thought of it, the effort, the… everything, was tiresome.

She reached for a glass of water, the cool liquid a momentary distraction. She read further down the list. "Visit the Great Barrier Reef." The ocean seemed far away, another continent, another life. She took a long drink, the water barely registering. She carefully folded the list and tucked it away in a drawer, promising herself she'd deal with it later. Which meant, probably, never.
