"Liar!" Mark bellowed, the word ripping from his throat. He threw the offending book across the room, it skidding across the polished wood floor. He watched it, his chest heaving. It was outrageous. The book was a fabrication, a collection of misrepresentations. He felt like he'd been violated.

He slumped into a chair, his face buried in his hands. The nerve of this… this biographer! To invade his privacy, to distort his experiences for the sake of a cheap story. He thought of his friends and family, the way they'd look at him now, after reading these… lies. He needed to get away, to be alone. He stood, grabbed his coat, and stormed out the front door, leaving the book to lie abandoned.
