The phone vibrated in Leo's pocket. He almost didn't answer it. It was from the hiring manager. He slowly pressed the button. As the words confirming he was unsuccessful tumbled from the person on the other end of the phone, he felt a wave of dizziness wash over him. He gripped the edge of his desk, knuckles white.
