The tow truck driver, a mountain of a man with a bored expression, was already halfway through attaching the chains. Sarah stormed out of her house, her face a mask of disbelief. "Excuse me! What in the world do you think you're doing?" The words burst out, sharper than she intended.

He barely glanced up. "Towin' this vehicle, ma'am. Parked illegally."

"Illegally?" Her voice rose an octave. "This is *my* driveway! I live here!" She jabbed a finger at her own chest. The sun glinted off the freshly washed hood of her car, mocking her.

A vein throbbed in her temple. She grabbed her phone, fingers fumbling with the lock screen. She'd been inside for *ten minutes*. Ten minutes to grab a forgotten cup of coffee!
