The flyer, plastered on the community notice board, mocked Beatrice. "World-Famous Biscotti" it proclaimed, advertising the "perfect" biscotti, but it was nothing more than her aunt's recipe, one she had meticulously perfected.

Her pulse quickened. She felt a heat rising in her chest. She grabbed the flyer and crumpled it in her hand. The nerve of them! They were using her family’s legacy, pretending it was their own.

She stormed towards the kitchen, a fierce determination in her stride. She would make her own biscotti. Her biscotti. The real biscotti. The biscotti that would once again, assert her family's name.
