The postman didn't even knock this time; he simply left the package at her doorstep. *Luxury Dog Bed, To: Mrs. Petunia Snuggles*. Her lips thinned. *Snuggles*. As if. She was Eleanor, a woman who valued order and quiet. She had no pets, just a collection of antique teacups.

She bent and picked the package up, her back aching with the effort. She dragged it inside, the thick cardboard scratching against the floor. She did not want to see what was inside. She wanted to be left alone.

She stared down the package, and with a grunt she placed it in the attic, where it would slowly fade away.
