She'd been half-expecting to see it listed, but that didn't lessen the impact. It felt like a punch to the gut. She stared at the photographs, feeling a visceral rejection of the changes.

The listing agent's flowery language grated on her nerves. "Spacious! Luxurious! Perfect for entertaining!" She scoffed. It wasn’t perfect, and it was certainly not luxurious. It was her childhood home, a place of comfort and security. And now, it was a commodity.

She clicked the "Report" button on the listing, then closed the window. It wouldn't do any good, of course. But the act, small as it was, gave her a sliver of satisfaction.
