Gemotions

A wave of heat surged through her. It was as if the room itself was closing in, the walls pressing inwards. She pushed back from the doctor's desk, her chair scraping across the floor. This couldn't be happening. She was in perfect health. She felt a burning sensation in her throat.

She turned to the woman in the waiting room, who had been called in. The woman was just smiling, waving her hand!

She took a deep breath. She wanted to yell at the doctor, to demand a recount. She wanted to scream at the sky.

This was unfair.
