Gemotions

The dance floor pulsed with music, filled with gyrating bodies. Daniel couldn’t care less about the dancing. He was obsessed with finding Emily. He kept circling the room. He felt a constant ache in his chest, a deep longing.

He spotted her near the open doors leading to the garden. She was laughing, her face lit by the fairy lights strung across the trees. He felt an urge to be close to her.

He knew he should be sensible, should play it cool. But the distance felt like a physical barrier, something he needed to overcome. He was drawn to her like a moth to a flame.

He pushed his way through the crowd, his gaze locked on her. He had to see the look in her eyes. He had to be close to her. He was suddenly very hot.
