The best man’s speech droned on, but all Ethan could see was her. She was a vision, laughing at something the person next to her had said. He felt an ache of longing he thought he had buried.

He felt a strange restlessness. He kept fidgeting with his cufflinks. He glanced at her often, unable to help himself. His focus was entirely and completely locked onto her.

He kept glancing over, feeling as if the space between them had begun to shrink. He suddenly felt the pressing urge to be near her, to hear her voice.

He found himself making his way over towards her. He took a long, steadying breath. "Hey," he began, when he reached her, his voice a little shaky, "fancy seeing you here."
