He had never cared about the cafeteria menu before. Now, it was a source of endless speculation. He knew she liked the salad bar. He started going earlier, just in case he could be there when she arrived. The move to the public relations department was, to him, a doorway to something he couldn't describe.

He found himself lingering around her desk, feigning interest in whatever was on her computer screen. He started memorizing her schedule, just so that he could anticipate her movements.

He felt a nervous flutter in his chest whenever they spoke. He found himself staring at her from afar, unable to look away. He had never felt like this before.
