The transition to the finance department had given her a new perspective, but not the kind she expected. It was the feeling, the one that filled her with anticipation whenever she saw him. She’d never had such a strange feeling.

She started taking the stairs instead of the elevator, hoping to run into him. She would try to be near him when the coffee machine was on. She found herself smiling at everything, even the mundane tasks.

She felt a rush of energy, an excitement that made it hard to focus on anything else. His presence filled the room, even when he wasn't there.
