The previous owners had clearly been eccentric. The house was full of strange nooks and crannies, and she’d been steadily uncovering them. While exploring the attic, she found a section of the floorboards that shifted. She felt a strange tingling sensation as she pulled it back, revealing the hidden passage.

The passage led to a small, windowless room. The room was furnished with a single, comfortable armchair. A record player sat on a nearby table. A stack of records was placed nearby.

She picked up a record, slid it out of its sleeve and placed it on the turntable. She settled into the armchair, listening to the music as the room bathed in soft light. She felt that the house was now offering her something that she desperately wanted.
