He stared at the invitation, a curious mixture of dread and something else swirling in his stomach. The ten-year reunion. *Jessica*. He hadn't seen her in years, but the image of her, her laugh, her sharp wit, was as clear in his mind as if it were yesterday.

He started to obsessively check her social media profiles, trying to gauge her life, wondering if she was single, if she remembered him at all. His mind created dozens of scenarios, each one more unlikely and unrealistic than the last.

Days turned into weeks, and the reunion loomed. The closer it got, the more intensely he felt… everything. The nervous anticipation made him restless, irritable, and completely distracted.
