He imagined her reaction, the way her face would flush, the way she would look at him. He knew he was in trouble. Big trouble.

He found himself seeking her out, lingering near the places she frequented on campus. A casual glance, a stolen moment of eye contact, sent a jolt of electricity through his veins. He was a moth drawn to a flame, a ship wrecked on the shore of her existence.

He considered confessing, apologizing, explaining his curiosity. But the words wouldn't come. He was frozen, paralyzed by the intensity of what he felt. Instead, he simply waited, anticipating the moment she'd finally confront him.
