Gemotions

The first session was a blur. He’d babbled, he knew it. Half of what he said made no sense. He’d arrived with a vague sense of unease. He left with… something else. It was powerful, confusing, exhilarating.

He found himself returning to the park where they used to play, or rather, where she used to torment him. He sat on the swings, pushing off the ground, a childish thrill coursing through him. He imagined her watching him, maybe laughing. His stomach flipped.

He had started getting up earlier, dressing with particular care. His shirts had been ironed perfectly for the first time in years. This was all for her, of course. All of it.
