She found it tucked inside his favourite book, a well-worn copy of “One Hundred Years of Solitude”. "Run a marathon." The words jumped out at her, each letter a bold declaration. Sarah had never considered him an athlete. She began to laugh. A giddy, bubbling laugh.

Her fingers traced the words. He'd never spoken about it. He was a man of quiet passions, she realized. It made her want to know everything.

"See a Broadway show." She loved Broadway. She felt a thrilling connection, a shared love she’d never known he harbored. A wave of excitement washed over her.

She clasped the list to her chest. She wanted to throw on her shoes and run. She wanted to experience all the joy he had on that page, along with him.
