Gemotions

The blank canvas stared back at Clara. For months, she’d felt a creative drought, a barren landscape where paintings used to bloom. But being back in her childhood bedroom, surrounded by the familiar scent of lavender and the faded floral wallpaper, something clicked.

She gathered her paints, brushes, and palette. Her hands trembled slightly as she squeezed the vibrant colours onto the surface. She felt a lightness, a joyous lifting of a weight she hadn't known she carried. There was a pull in her gut, a feeling that she could do anything.

Her mother knocked softly. "Are you alright in there, honey?" Clara grinned, "Never better, Mom." She picked up her brush and began to paint, the colors exploding onto the canvas with a vibrant force, a sense of rightness, of belonging.
