The morning sun, usually a nuisance, felt like a warm embrace as Sarah walked to the coffee shop. A lightness hummed in her chest, a feeling she hadn't experienced since she was a child. The interview for the marketing assistant role was scheduled for later, and the thought made her quicken her pace. She pictured the office, the team, the projects – and a smile blossomed on her face.

Her best friend, Liam, was also vying for the position. They'd been inseparable since kindergarten, sharing dreams and secrets. This felt different, though. This was a chance, a real opportunity to use her skills. She gripped her resume tighter, eager to meet the challenge. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee was almost intoxicating.
