Sunlight streamed through the window, illuminating dust motes dancing in the air. This morning, David discovered that Chloe, who had bragged about her PR job at a major agency, actually worked as a receptionist. He laughed out loud.

He’d always felt stuck. Today, he felt unstuck.

He opened his own website and finally started on his new blog. The words poured out of him, ideas tumbling over each other in their rush to be written. He wrote and wrote.

He felt something akin to invincibility, the world seemed newly painted with possibility.
