Gemotions

The sun felt hotter on his skin than usual. Arthur felt a sudden, fierce rush of energy, an urge to move. He ran. He ran until he was breathless, until his legs burned, past the house, past the demolition site, further than he’d run in years. He felt the blood pounding in his ears, and imagined the house crumbling behind him, like a memory slowly fading. He would write a book about it, he decided, about this very day. He imagined the words, the characters, the scenes, already starting to take shape in his mind.
