Gemotions

The morning sun, filtered through the leaves, painted dappled patterns on Amelia's easel. A surge of energy coursed through her as she dipped her brush into a vibrant cerulean. That scamp, Buster, was at it again. She heard the familiar jingle of his collar before the little terrier exploded into her garden. A chuckle escaped her lips. The way he zig-zagged between her sunflowers, tail a frantic metronome, it was just… delightful. This time, instead of shooing him back, she simply grabbed a fresh canvas, a burst of eagerness in her chest.

She watched him, a flash of white and brown against the green, and the movement gave her an idea.

Quickly, Amelia began to block in the loose, energetic forms of the dog against a background of the tall, swaying sunflowers. She worked quickly, laying down thick strokes of color, feeling a need to capture that untamed joy. The scent of damp earth and blooming flowers filled the air, a perfect backdrop for the small, joyful beast.
