Gemotions

Liam was buzzing. The guitar in his hands felt like an extension of himself. The melody tumbled out of him, a torrent of sound that had been building inside all week. The chords rang true, the notes soaring to the high ceiling of his cramped apartment.

He finished the bridge, the music fading slightly as he reached for his phone. He wanted to share it with someone, anyone. He had a rush of need to put it into the world. He started a text message.

He took a pause and opened his contacts. The name "Sarah" was there, her picture a radiant smile. He typed "Check this out!" and a snippet of the lyrics. Click. Send.

Then he saw the number. A complete stranger. He'd sent it to the wrong person. A wave of nervous energy coursed through him. What would they think?
