The email notification popped up on her phone, and she felt a surge. Professor Moreau, her advisor, was departing. Her stomach flipped with a strange mix of excitement and… resolve.

She immediately texted her study group, a jumble of rapid-fire messages filled with exclamation points. She had to *do something*. She had to accelerate.
