The email arrived late at night. An apology from a former colleague, someone she had considered a friend, for betraying her trust and costing her a promotion years ago. It felt both jarring and, unexpectedly, freeing.

She woke the next morning with an idea. A big one. She’d been trapped in a dead-end job for far too long, her creative spirit stifled. She looked at her computer screen, her website domain still active, a ghost of a dream.
