He’d always considered his backyard a private sanctuary, but the look on young Timmy’s face, as he requested permission for a small herb garden, was enough to change that. A new kind of energy bloomed within him.

A tingling sensation ran down his spine. “Well, Timmy, that sounds like a great idea!” he said, his voice betraying a sudden joviality. He found himself already imagining the various herbs—parsley, mint, oregano. The thought created a sense of eagerness.

He pointed to a prime spot, a glint in his eye. "Let's get started right away!" He felt a need to break the monotony of the day. A thrill, a desire to assist and create, suddenly consumed him.
