Gemotions

"We'd love to plant some vegetables if we could," the family next door pleaded. I had been listless, but their words evoked a change.

My pulse quickened; I felt a need to act. "Of course!" I responded, my voice ringing with a newfound energy. I saw the sunlit space, and a feeling took hold.

I started to map out the garden in my mind, deciding what would grow best where. I thought of the future: tending to the plants, seeing the vegetables grow and sharing the harvest. A current of energy coursed through me, a feeling of deep satisfaction.
