The reunion. Old friends, new faces, and the inevitable "What have you been up to?" questions. Frank had always been the envy of his circle. He was always going on about his work as a "Hollywood producer," the glamorous parties, the star-studded events. His life seemed to be a movie. The others didn't know anything about movies.

Sarah, who had always looked up to Frank, was now at his side. She was shocked at how he behaved. He was not talking to anyone. He was just smiling and looking at the ground. She saw him try to impress the bartender by name-dropping famous actors. She could see how he couldn't keep eye contact with anyone. She excused herself.

Sarah felt a sudden wave of fatigue wash over her. The music seemed to pulse in her head, the laughter around her a cacophony. She turned and walked away. The image of Frank, so carefully constructed, shattered before her eyes.
