A cold knot tightened in David's stomach as he scrolled through the comments. He’d recognized the style of his old diary entries instantly. The online publication, “Teenage Confessions,” had somehow acquired his most embarrassing secrets. He'd poured his adolescent anxieties onto those pages, and now… now everyone was reading them.

He shoved his chair back from his desk, the abrupt movement knocking over a stack of papers. A wave of nausea washed over him. He felt exposed, stripped bare. Each sentence felt like a fresh accusation, each commenter a judge ready to pronounce sentence.

He picked up the phone to call his friend, but his hand froze. What could he even say? How could he explain the boiling rage that had consumed him?
