"Seriously?" Leo said aloud, his voice strained. He hadn't thought about *Karen Baker* in years. But there it was: a friend request. The girl who’d mercilessly mocked his drawings, the one who convinced everyone in class that he was “weird.”

He felt a familiar heat rise in his chest. His hands clenched into fists. He stared at the screen, the image of her smiling face a carefully constructed facade. He wanted to shatter it.
