Gemotions

The emergency lights cast long, dancing shadows, reflecting the churning unease inside of Frank. He knew that the comments about his 'unpolished' performance at the quarterly review were still at the forefront of Carol's thoughts. The thought was maddening.

He tapped his foot, the sound echoing in the confined space. He felt the familiar heat rising in his cheeks.

"Well, this is just great, isn't it?" Carol said, her voice flat. Frank said nothing.

He crossed his arms tightly. He wanted out. He wanted to scream. The space seemed to shrink with every passing second.
