The curator, Mr. Peterson, expected a historical artifact, a glimpse into the past. Instead, the box revealed a childish drawing of him, wearing a clown costume. Scrawled underneath were the words, "He's a joke."

His eyes narrowed. The museum's grant was dependent on this discovery. He spent months organizing and supervising this dig. The entire funding for his department hinged on it. He felt his hands begin to tremble. He slowly closed the lid of the box, his face a mask of carefully controlled emotion, and walked away. He would deal with it later. He needed a very strong cup of tea.
