The discovery struck like a physical blow. The list, titled simply “My Adventures,” lay innocently on the coffee table. He, Leo, a man of routine and comfort, felt an unexpected jolt of... something. Entry number three: “Learn to surf.” Entry number seven: “Climb a mountain.” He felt a strange tingling sensation in his fingertips.

He looked around the familiar living room, the space suddenly feeling smaller, the air stale.

Later, he'd find himself staring at the screen of his phone, scrolling through travel websites, searching for flights to places he'd never even considered.
