Liam bounced on the balls of his feet, the hard wooden floor of the basketball court feeling strangely springy. He had always been a center, a giant in the paint. Now, Coach Miller wanted him to play point guard. "Think you can handle the ball, kid?" the coach had asked, a twinkle in his eye. Liam had just nodded, a laugh bubbling up in his chest. His hands itched for the ball, his mind already racing with plays, with possibilities. The thought of weaving through defenders, of controlling the tempo, filled him with a restless energy that made it impossible to stay still.
