The scent of chlorine and freshly mowed grass hit Ben as he arrived at the pool. He was ready to try out his new swimming techniques learned from Coach Miller. He felt great, a buoyant confidence filling his chest. Today, he would finally break his personal record.

Coach Miller's office door was open. Ben rushed to it, expecting a congratulatory handshake, but the room was empty. A simple note sat on the desk: “The water is yours. Farewell.”

Ben dove into the pool. His muscles were primed, his mind laser-focused. He had a race to win, a record to break. He pushed off the wall and began to swim. He could feel the power surging through his arms and legs, propelling him forward.
