She was scrolling through her feed, bored, when it happened. A request from Chad. Chad, the golden boy who had made her life hell throughout elementary school and middle school. She stared at the screen, a strange tingling sensation spreading through her chest. It was like she'd just swallowed a shot of espresso.

She sat up straighter, the lethargy of the afternoon completely vanished. She felt a surge of energy she hadn't known she possessed. She had been meaning to clean her apartment for weeks; now was the time. She got up, put on some music, and started to scrub the kitchen floor.
