Gemotions

The postman’s familiar clatter brought a smile to Elias’s face as he collected the mail. He noticed the bright pink card straight away, its glittery surface practically shouting. He examined it, confused and delighted, before opening it.

It read "You deserve a day of fun!" in a sparkly font. He stood on the porch, a goofy grin plastered on his face. A jolt went through him, like he'd been plugged into an outlet. The feeling was electric.

He slammed the door, changed into his best jeans and a bright t-shirt, and raced out to his car. He cranked up the music and drove, the sun shining in his face, the open road beckoning.
