The newspaper lay open on the kitchen table, the headline screaming at her: "The Latest Culinary Sensation: Lavender Lemonade!" Sarah stared at the image, a perfect pitcher of her concoction, the one she'd painstakingly perfected over years. Underneath, a different name. A different chef. Her fingers drummed against the table, a rapid, insistent rhythm. Her cheeks flushed.

She seized her phone, the world shrinking into a pinpoint of focus. She dialed, her voice crisp and decisive. "Hello, I need to order a hundred lemons, and make it snappy." She hung up, a sudden heat radiating from her core.

She then marched into her garden, the sun on her face. She would grow more lemons. She would not let this stand.
