Eliza whistled as she navigated the farmer's market, her arms loaded with vibrant vegetables and fragrant herbs. The crisp air invigorated her. This was going to be the perfect day! She hummed a little tune, picturing the cozy haven she and Chloe could create. A little orange tabby, purring contentedly on the sofa, would complete the scene.

Chloe, however, was not amused. "Eliza, we talked about this. No cats. Remember the allergies? My grandma…" Chloe trailed off, her voice laced with weary patience.

Eliza spun around, her eyes sparkling. “But think of the possibilities! We could name it Mittens! Or Mr. Whiskers! We could build a cat tree!" She placed her farmer's market bounty on the countertop.

Chloe sighed. “Look, I know you’re excited, but…”

"Excited? I'm practically buzzing!" Eliza exclaimed, her fingers drumming on the counter. "It's a tiny, purring, fluffy ball of love!"
