Gemotions

He stood at the edge of the cliff, the wind whipping through his hair, a sense of boundless possibility unfurling within him. The world was a masterpiece, and he was ready to participate, to contribute, to *live* it. A thrilling sensation washed over him, a pressure to move, to do, to be.

The tests, the diagnosis, then the news: another person, a meeting.

The meeting was scheduled to take place on top of a mountain, overlooking the sweeping vista. The other person was already there, a woman leaning against a rock, gazing out at the view.

"You made it!" she exclaimed, a broad smile illuminating her face.

He grinned back, his chest tight with a sensation that was new and exhilarating. "Wouldn't miss it."

"So," she continued, "what are you planning to do?"

"I don't know," he laughed, "but I can't wait to find out!"
