He stared at the email, the screen blurring. The room began to spin. "Sales to Technical Support." He'd built his career, his reputation, his *life* on closing deals. They were stripping it all away.

He felt a cold sweat break out on his forehead. His heart hammered against his ribs. He wanted to rip the computer from the wall, throw it through the window. He wanted to scream.

He ran a hand through his hair, mussing it. This wasn't happening. It couldn't be. He slumped in his chair, defeated, the energy draining from him like water from a punctured vessel. Then, anger ignited, a dangerous spark in his chest.
