He slammed the lid of the toolbox shut, the metallic clang a harsh punctuation mark. He had been trying to fix the faulty electrical wiring for hours. This house was a money pit. He found a small, oddly shaped brick in the cellar wall and pulled it free with a grunt.

The wall crumbled, revealing a dark hole. He knelt down, peering into the gloom. A wave of frustration washed over him. He felt his face heat up, his pulse quickening. He wasn't sure how much more he could take.
