Gemotions

The cafe door chimed as Amelia stormed in, the sudden burst of cool air doing nothing to calm the boiling feeling in her chest. She spotted him immediately, slouched in a booth, nursing a latte. Liam. Or rather, *her* Liam. She clenched her jaw, the muscles tightening until her teeth ached. She marched towards him, her heels clicking a staccato rhythm against the tiled floor. He looked up, startled, as she slammed the photo album onto the table. It landed with a loud thud, scattering sugar packets.

“Care to explain this, Liam?” Her voice was dangerously low, a growl barely contained. He flinched, his eyes darting back and forth between the album and her face. The photos—beach trips, cozy nights in, smiling faces… all with *him* and another woman.

“Amelia, I…” he stammered, the color draining from his face. She watched, arms crossed, as his attempt at an apology died on his lips. She wasn't staying. She was leaving.
