From the moment he saw the tweet, David's chest felt constricted, as if a vise had tightened around him. He reread the accusations, the screenshots, the meticulously crafted parallels between his unpublished screenplay and Olivia Hayes’ new movie. His stomach twisted.

He threw his phone onto the couch with a force that made it bounce. He rubbed his face with both hands, trying to calm the storm raging inside. It was a futile gesture.
