The silence in the house was deafening. Kevin slammed the door of his study, the sound a sharp crack that echoed. His daughter, Maya, and her secret account. The pictures, the comments, the whole thing was… he didn't even have the words. He felt his face flush and a pressure building behind his eyes.

He kicked a chair, the wood scraping against the floor. He wanted to break something, to destroy something. He wanted to lash out. He wanted to... He ran a hand over his face.

He slumped into his chair. He had to be calm. He had to think. But the thought, the betrayal, made it difficult to breathe. The fury was like a fire, consuming him from the inside out.
