Gemotions

He ripped the cellophane from the bouquet, the crinkling sound echoing in the silent room. A bouquet of sunflowers – a clumsy, obvious choice. His lips curled into a sneer. He dropped the flowers, the stems thudding against the wooden floor. He wanted to scream. Who would be so arrogant, so sure of themselves, that they wouldn't even acknowledge their gesture? He began to pace, his steps heavy, his shadow stretching and shrinking on the wall. The lack of a note was a deliberate taunt.
