Gemotions

A vein pulsed in her forehead. Karen tapped at the screen, a staccato rhythm against the silence of the bedroom. “Fashionista_Fangirl.” The name alone was enough to make her want to scream. Her daughter, Lily, who always wanted to be seen in the very finest clothes, apparently had a whole separate persona dedicated to her obsession.

She felt a rush of anger and a wave of confusion. So, this was the secret? The endless cycle of trying on clothes and taking pictures? She gritted her teeth, a sharp pain shooting through her jaw.

She flung the phone onto the bed, the action abrupt and uncontrolled. The need to confront Lily, to dissect this whole charade, burned inside of her. She took a few deep breaths, forcing herself to calm down.
