The silence of the house was punctuated only by the rhythmic clicking of my keyboard. I, Robert, had discovered a secret account belonging to my daughter, Amy. All her posts were of this person she kept calling 'bae' while also complaining about a lack of attention. My hands were shaking.

I glanced around the living room. Everything felt wrong, the furniture, the pictures, the memories. The house felt like it was closing in around me. I felt a surge of frustration, like someone had stolen a piece of me.

I shut the laptop. It was all a deception. A lie. It was all a lot to process.
