I couldn't help but notice how relaxed Ethan was, leaning back in his chair, basking in his triumph. His smug smile was all the confirmation I needed. We had worked on the same project, and I had seen him copying my answers.

My pulse hammered in my ears. The weight of the accusation, the injustice of it all, pressed down on me, heavy and suffocating. The room swam.
