"Fifteen years," Clara muttered, rereading the invitation. The word *reunion* seemed to mock her. She felt a familiar hollowness in her chest. She had avoided this for years. Now, it was unavoidable. The names of her classmates, etched in the elegant calligraphy, felt like a judgment.

She surveyed her apartment, meticulously clean, yet somehow sterile. Her life was orderly, predictable. She liked it that way. Yet, the invitation had unearth something else within her. A feeling of wanting, of lack.

She thought of her sister, who was on the reunion committee. And, she thought of her ex-boyfriend, also on the committee. She flipped through old yearbooks, a parade of smiling faces and forgotten dreams. She felt the urge to erase all the memories and start fresh, anew.
